HCG Drops, Day 3 [R1P2D1]
Wake up time: 9:45am
First set of HCG Drops: 10 drops at 10:05am.
10:30am - Breakfast. A red delicious apple. (90 calories)
+ A big glass of water.
Second set of HCG Drops: 2:15pm
2:55pm - Lunch.
100 grams grilled tilapia seasoned with half a lemon and Mrs. dash original blend seasoning. (About 96 calories)
10 smalled spears of baked asparagus, also seasoned with half a lemon and Mrs. Dash original blend seasoning. (26 calories)
Melba toast (60 calories)
+ 1 and a half big glasses of water.
6:05pm - Snack.
Six strawberries (24 calories)
Third set of HCG Drops: 6:55pm
7:15pm - Dinner.
Taco Salad:
Ground turkey [Approx 100g.. weighed it after cooking, and took a little less] (120 calories)
2 cups lettuce (30 calories)
1 tomato (22 calories)
Melba toast (60 calories)
+ About 2 big glasses of water.
Total Calories: 528
I had 2 cups of lettuce with dinner thinking that I wouldn't make up my 500 calories, then I realized I wasn't counting in my Melba toast from lunch for 60 calories, so I would have been pretty much right on without the lettuce, but ah well. They say 500-530 calories a day anyway, right? I felt pretty good today. I was satisfied with what I ate and wasn't hungry through-out the day.
Oh, and I think I decided to go ahead and do the short round of Phase 2. Meaning, I will do the drops for 23 days, then stop taking them but continue doing the VLCD ("Very Low Calorie Diet") for 2 days, and then move on to Phase 3, which is introducing other foods back in, and allowing yourself up to 1,500 calories a day. If needed, I can start a 2nd short round of HCG 6 weeks afterwards, but I plan on being closer to goal and getting there the rest of the way by myself. :)

HCG Drops, Day 3
I start my VLCD ("Very Low Calorie Diet") today.
I don't imagine it being too tough but I don't want to jinx myself.
I had absolutely no appetite during the loading days, but I did my best. :P I apparently gained 4-5 pounds, but it's also my T.O.M so some of that could be water weight.
My protocol allows me 2 cups of veggies, 2 cups of salad PLUS 100 grams of meat at lunch and again at dinner. I was allready eating less than that before. Well, more meat, definitely less veggies. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks to everyone who is still supporting me, despite the fact that they don't agree. And, if anyone is interested in this, I'm gonna be as honest as possible about it here, so you'll get the idea. :)
I weigh daily but I probably will still only change my tickers once a week.
Log coming later. :) Oh, and I am about to catch up on blog-reading here in a second!

HCG Drops, Day 2
I started my HCG drops yesterday and will start phase 2 tomorrow!
I hope I do phase 2 right, but I don't think I will have any problems. I've made a few daily meal lists up so...I'll try to follow them and stay on track. :) I'm pretty excited and hope this works.
Oh, and I haven't been able to catch up on anyone's blogs, but I'll be going that either tonight or tomorrow. :)
I'll keep everyone posted!

Log and question for HCGer's
Wake up time: 9:00am
10:20am - Breakfast. A bowl of Special K "Cinnamon pecan" cereal with half a banana in vitamin D milk. (Still out of almond milk.)
4:25pm - Lunch. 2 DELICIOUS ground turkey meatballs. Seasoned with half a packet of Lipton's onion soup mix, Mrs. Dash original seasoning, pepper, garlic powder, a little crushed up cheez-it's, a bit of bread crumbs and honey. Also drizzled some honey on top of the balls before baking them. Yum! (I originally got 3 of these, but 2 was plenty.)
Around 8-8:30pm - Dinner. I'm posting this early, because I'm eating dinner out tonight and it's already planned. I'm usually pretty good when I eat out, even at buffets, so I'm not too worried. Also, I plan on starting HCG this weekend, which means no more eating out for me at all for a while. Anyway, it's up to the guy I babysit for but I'm sure we'll either be going to Golden Corral (mixed food buffet) or a chinese buffet. Either way, I won't have anything fried, and I'll have a salad first, or atleast taking up half my plate. :P Oh, and water to drink, as always.
HCGer's... I plan on starting the diet Saturday, mainly so that Easter Sunday will be one of my loading days (woohoo) BUT I started my period (TMI) today. Is it okay to start HCG during my period, or is it like vital that I wait until after it? Thanks!
A rant of sorts
I read an entry over at Why wait's blog and it got me thinking.
Does anybody here, who's lost a significant amount of weight, have those people in their lives telling them how good they look now, how pretty they've become, etc?
It's like... how do you even respond to that? Happy, sad, confused?
For me, It usually makes me feel pretty good, because this is how I look -now- and they are complimenting me. It look a lot of hard work and determination to lose 33.4 pounds, and I feel like it's really paid off when people notice and compliment me. And I still have about 60 more pounds to lose!!
But, what about the people before you lost weight?
The family members and friends who ridiculed you because you were "too big".
My mother, so many times in my life, has told me how "beautiful" I would be if I just lost some weight. MY MOM. Shouldn't my mother already find me beautiful? And, technically speaking, beauty and health are 2 total opposites. If I am not "beautiful" now, then what will dropping some weight really do? Weight loss isn't some kind of instant face lift or make-over or something. Losing weight might *ENHANCE MY CURRENT FEATURES* but it can't make someone beautiful that isn't already!
My brother in law, many times in the past, told me and my niece that we would never find a "good man" unless we lost weight. What?? A "good man" is going to see me on the inside and out. A good man is going to see through the outside, for what I am on the inside. And most of all, a good man is going to love ME for who I already am on the inside, not what I am or am not on the outside.
It's just very irritating to think about.
I started this weight loss journey because I realized I needed to lose weight. I didn't want to keep going at the rate I was going, and just keep gaining weight, until one day I realized I was one of them people, stuck in their house and unable to move or go anywhere. Too big to get off the couch. I did this for my health. I wanted to start weight loss and put an end to weigh gain. I am 23, and I want to look good and feel good. I'm sick of being insecure and uncomfortable in my own body and I'm doing something about it.
-I AM- doing something about it! Those people who wanted to put their two sense in never did a thing to help me in weight loss, and they damn sure aren't the reason that I started this journey! I am doing this for me and for nobody else.
So basically, those nasty comments really did nothing but make me more insecure, and probably made me eat more to forget the pain I felt from them. They didn't help me, that's for sure.
All I can do now is lose weight for me
and then laugh in the faces of those who thought I could never do it!

Wake up time: 9:10am
10:40am - Breakfast. An apple and half (about 3oz) a vanilla carbmaster yogurt.
2:00pm - Lunch. Leftover roast w/ broccoli & a side salad with ranch dressing.
(Somewhere between lunch and dinner, I had a super duper craving for something sweet. I was seriously about to make me a bowl of cereal, but when I pulled out the box of cereal, there were 2 mints behind it. I had one of those instead and it pretty well curbed the sweet tooth. A sign, eh? Lol.)
7:45PM - Dinner. A ground turkey patty, 3 slices of tomato and about half an avocado. The tomato & avocado were seasoned in lime and Mrs.Dash original seasoning.
Oh! And apparently I missed my 100 day mark, but, I've now been on my weight loss journey for a little over 100 days!! Wow, thinking of it in days instead of months sounds like a lot more. That's crazy. I've never stuck to a "diet" this long, but this is a lifestyle change for me! I'm just getting started. :)

I've slacked again this week in the exercise department.
My main issue is that I go back and forth between my sister's house and the apt. that I babysit at weekly. I'm here babysitting from Sunday night through Thursday night, and then Thursday night through Sunday night I'm back home. I would do better if I was -always- somewhere, and I could come up with a routine. Babysitting gets so stressful sometimes that while the little one is taking a nap, I want nothing more than to just relax and enjoy the silence and peace.
I know it's all just excuses, but of course that's all anyone can give is an excuse, so there's mine.
I should only be babysitting another month or so, if that, and after that, I think my friend's boyfriend might buy us gym memberships, then I can work out at the gym at least a couple of times a week, and I can walk a couple of miles around the block every day/night. It's just hard to get in any exercise with a 1 and 3 year old constantly needing something. And like I said, when they are napping, I'm taking advantage.
I have got to change this though. I get motivated, then lose it. I need to figure it out and fix it. I am just stressed, I think.
-Food Log-
Wake up time: 9:10am
9:45am - Breakfast. A bowl of Kellogg's special K "Multigrain oats & honey" cereal with some added honey in regular vitamin D milk, because I am out of almond milk.
1:00pm - Lunch. 2 leftover chicken fajita taco's on whole wheat tortilla's with sour cream and picante sauce. + A vanilla coke zero.
5:25pm - Snack. 4 strawberries.
7:15am - Dinner. Roast with meat & broccoli.

Weekly Weigh-In
I lost 2.4 pounds this week. :)
That means I only need to lose 19 pounds to reach my summer goal, and less than 60 for my overall goal!
I have also officially lost 10 inches off my waist! :) I can now mark that off my goals list.
That means I only need to lose 19 pounds to reach my summer goal, and less than 60 for my overall goal!
I have also officially lost 10 inches off my waist! :) I can now mark that off my goals list.
I ate pretty good yesterday...had a grilled roast beef & cheese sandwich for lunch, and then a bowl of Special K cereal for dinner instead of the fried burritos with chili, sour cream and cheese that was made.
Today I will be having fajita's on low carb, whole wheat tortilla's. Should be a good day. :)
Yesterday was a pamper day.. I got my nails done, and got a pedicure for the first time in my life. Then, afterward, I went to the tattoo shop and got my tattoo touched up and she added a couple more things. It looks good. :) The nails and the tattoo touch-up were free, so I only ended up spending $25 on my toes. I paid for my sister's too, but she is supposed to pay me back.
Oh, I ordered my bottles of HCG last night. I know most people won't agree with this, but it's what I decided to do for that extra push in my weight loss. I was going to do the 45-day plan, but I am thinking about doing the 23 or whatever day one to start to see how it goes, and I will still have another bottle if I want to finish it. :)
I sincerely hope I don't lose the respect of anybody, because I know a lot of people out there are against this, but I figure I won't knock it until I try it. I've done a lot of research this last week, and I believe it's a healthy choice. I've lost 33 pounds on my own, and just want to give myself a boost so that I definitely reach my summer goal. I hope I don't lose any of my watchers. HCG will only be a temporary boost, and then I will continue to lose weight the way I have been.
Much Love,

12:50pm - Lunch. 1 & ½ left-over ground turkey taco's with guacamole, picante sauce and sour cream. My stomach started feeling ick, so I couldn't finish the 2nd one.
4:00pm - Snack. A peanut butter & honey roll up and an apple.
7:35pm - Dinner. Eggs with cheese, sausage, refried beans, picante sauce and 2 whole wheat low carb tortilla's.
FOR HCG BLOGGERS (or people with info)
I'm looking for a trustworthy place to order the drops from.
I was going to get the couples deal with a friend from http://www.officialhcgdietplan.com/ but I would hate to blow my money on a scam, although they do have a nice return policy and they seem legit. Not to mention they are #2 on the list here and are the first website that shows up on google when I search "best place to buy hcg drops online". That will give me the 45 day plan for $65, and my friend the 45 day plan for $65... so that price works for me! I need somewhere not over-priced and trustworthy, so any help will do. Thanks!

HCG Diet?
Well, I don't know if it is from my poor food choices this weekend, from drinking as much as I did, or a combination of both, but my stomach is not agreeing with me at all since last night. It could also be the 2 slices of greasy pizza I ate, or like I said, a combo of a couple of things. Either way, I don't plan on eating that way again... or consuming so much alcohol in a day. :P
I have been reading reviews and "dangers" of the HCG Diet. I am really considering giving it a try after sitting here for like 2 hours reading tons of reviews. Pretty much every review I read was from people that it worked for and that highly recommend it. Two people it worked for but they DON'T recommend it, and like one person it didn't seem to work for. I figure I could jump start my way to my summer goal. If the diet works like it's supposed to, I KNOW I'd reach my goal by summer! It's still up in the air though, but apparently you lose 1-2 pounds a day, and I can get a 45 day kit for $99. Not bad! I can get the 45 day kit cheaper if I talk my sister into getting the couples kit with me, then it'd only be $65 each.
Has anybody (or anyone you know) tried this? I know 1girlgettinfit is on it, and has lost 9.2 pounds in her first week. Nice! I asked her to email me more info...so I'm just waiting on that. :) I've read many reviews and more often than not, the people are definitely pleased, and recommend the product.
I'm worried about losing weight too quickly and then gaining it back, but even if I do the diet, I will go back to doing what I am doing right now. I don't plan on getting done with the diet and then going on a crazy eating frenzy. Plus, I've lost 30lb in a HEALTHY way so maybe that'll help. And I think the last phase of the HCG diet is a maintaining phase, so you don't gain back.
I'll keep reading up on it, but I do think I want to give it a try!
Food/exercise Log coming later. :)

Curse you, mexican restaurants!
I had a pretty shitty weekend as far as eating goes.
I ate out at least one meal a day EVERY DAY from Thursday night to tonight. Today, I ate half a chicken quesadilla + chips and salsa & a sweet tea at a mexican restaurant, THEN I had 2 pieces of greasy ass pepperoni pizza for dinner.
And that was just today.
I at least tried to eat decently healthy when I did go out to eat, but I still shouldn't have eaten out for 4 freaking days in a row.
Not to mention I drank Friday and Saturday nights. Whoa - Saying I got drunk Saturday is an UNDERstatement... that's all I can say. :P But I had a good time. We celebrated my friends birthday this weekend.

GRR!
And no exercise this weekend either. So, one of my goals is broken - Only worked out 4 days out of the week instead of 5, however, those 4 days I worked out twice a day so I won't beat myself up so much about that part of it.
Getting my butt back into gear tomorrow, stat!
Hope everyone is doing well...

Weekly Weigh-In
I lost 1.8 pounds this week.
Not bad, considering I have eaten out twice this week and got my drink on last night.
That puts me at an official 31 pound loss. Yay!
I also got some new shoes. They are the Danskin Now Women's Athletic shoes. The heel kind of curves so you get better movement I guess. They're pretty cool.
Okay, more later! <3

Wake up time: 9:20am
10:00am - Work out. Zumba 20-minutes express.
I've never done ANY kind of work out first thing in the morning, but this was fun, and I really felt it, I guess because my muscles were still in sleep mode.
11:00am - Breakfast. Kellogg's Special K "fruit & yogurt" cereal with added chopped pecans and natural honey in almond milk.
2:00pm - Work out. Walked 3 miles with Leslie Sansone!
3:00pm - Lunch. 2 ground turkey meatballs.
Threw some (of my families) natural honey on top of the raw balls and baked them, OMG, amazing!
(About) 8:15pm - Dinner. The plan for Olive garden got screwed, and I was really looking forward to it, since I've been craving it and I already had my healthy option picked out. We went to a Mexican restaurant, Casa Ole, instead, Where I had a taco salad with grilled chicken fajita and queso... ahhhh! This was fattening and I knew it, but it sounded good and screw it. Hopefully this doesn't screw up my weigh in Saturday.
Oh, and I got a new blog layout & signature! :)
P.S. I am taking an award from Rejecting 300 and "wearing" it proudly!
To anyone who has also lost 25 pounds, take it and proclaim it yourself!
All thanks goes out to Rejecting 300 for this one... she made it and it's fabulous. Great motivation!

Wake up time: 10:00am
10:45 - Breakfast. A bowl of Kellogg's special k Mutligrain oats and honey cereal with added chopped pecans and some natural honey in almond milk.
1:45pm - Work out. Zumba 20-minutes express.
2:30pm - Lunch. A salad with a can of (drained) tuna and sunflower seeds, with ranch dressing.
4:45 - Work out. Walked 2 miles with Leslie Sansone.
I really, really wanted to do 3 miles... but the youngest that I babysit has learned to climb out of the bathtub (She's 1½) and no matter how many times I got on to her and stuck her back in, she kept climbing back out and shutting the bathroom door. Needless to say, it just stressed me out and I kept having to pause the video to go tend to her. I just got to 2 miles and gave up.
7:25pm - Dinner. A bowl of roast with broccoli and onions.

Early Planning for an Outting
My friends birthday is tomorrow. She invited me to her birthday dinner, which is going to be at Olive Garden. I decided I would be smart and look at their menu online. I figure it would be a lot better to plan out my meal now, instead of getting there hungry, smelling all their delicious food and going crazy. I already decided I can't go there without having bread sticks, so I plan on cutting myself off at about 2 bread sticks. But, I'd like to only have one, and who knows...maybe I'll be strong enough to not have any. Lol!
I think I decided on the "Venetian Apricot Chicken" which is only 380 calories for the dinner portion, 4g total fat, 1,5g Saturated fat, 1420g Sodium (much less than most of their other meals but still A LOT) 32g of carbs and 8 grams of fiber. I'll either get that, or the "Herb-Grilled Salmon" which has 510 calories, 26g total fat, 6g saturated fat, only 760g sodium and only 5 carbs... What do you guys think?? I think the salmon might be better with the lower carbs and sodium, but I don't know. I haven't had fish in a while either, so I might just do it.
Any opinions?
I'm doing pretty good on my diet and exercise. I'm taking time to eat my food and chew it up well. I haven't gone back for seconds in a long time. I try to get a reasonable amount of food without getting too much, and without needing to go back for more.
My goal this month is to get in a 20 minute work out, once a day for 5 days, but for the last 2 days (and I'm sure today) i've done a 20 minute work out plus another type of exercise. I feel good. I don't feel like I am OVER pushing myself. I really enjoy Zumba... and now that I've checked out the Leslie Sansone Walking videos, I'm a fan so far of it too. It's 20-25 minutes for 2 miles, so if I can do that and Zumba every day then I'm doing pretty awesome. Next time, if the kids are asleep or not up my butt, I think I will push for 3 miles. :)
Oh...and another .8 pound loss will put me at an official 30 pound total loss, I'm so excited!
How is everyone else doing?

Wake up time: 9:40am
11:00am - Breakfast. A bowl of Kellogg's Special K "Multigrain oats and honey" cereal with about a quarter of a banana and a little natural honey added, in almond milk.
12:55pm - Work out. Zumba 20-minutes express.
3:10pm - Lunch. 2 ground turkey taco's with guacamole, lettuce and picante sauce.
4:00pm - Exercise. 2 mile walk.
I was going to go walking outside being as it's a gorgeous day, but the 3 year old I babysit threw a total fit about going walking, saying she was "sleepy" (half an hour later and she was still crying and hadn't fallen asleep) so I laid her down in her bed and did 2 miles with Leslie Sansone, and I actually really enjoyed it! (I thank Chubby Mcgee.) Could it have been better without a 1 and a half year old right under my feet most of the time? Probably. And I probably would have went for the 3, 4 or 5 miles. But, I think 20 minutes of zumba and a 2 mile walk is a pretty decent exercise for today. :)
5:45pm - Snack. Natural peanut butter, half a banana and natural honey in a whole wheat low-carb flour tortilla.
8:15pm - Dinner. A plate of kung pao chicken stir fry stuff.

Another April Goal + Log and pics.
I'm giving myself another April goal. As of today, I want to get in at least 20 minutes of exercise, at least 5 days a week. No excuses! If I want to reach my 10 pound loss for the month of April, then I've got to work for it, and I can do this! 20 minutes is NOTHING. Zumba is 20 minutes and I enjoy it, so I know I can do that at least Monday's through Thursday's, then try for a nice long walk on Friday's. I can do this! I need to stop putting exercise off for other things and some times just put other things off for exercise!
-Food/Exercise Log-
Wake up time: 9:30am
10:10am - Breakfast. A bowl of Kellogg's special K "fruit & yogurt" cereal in almond milk.
12:30pm - Work out. Zumba 20-minutes express.
1:50pm - Lunch. 2 ranch chicken wraps.
I used a 5 oz. can of premium chicken breast, drained the water and mixed in some ranch dressing and dry roasted sun flower seeds, then put it on low-carb whole wheat flour tortilla's and BAM. Delish!
4:10pm - Exercise. 30 squats & 100 crunches.
4:40pm - Snack. An apple and a strawberry.
7:35pm - Dinner. 2 ground turkey taco's on whole wheat, low-carb flour tortilla's with lettuce, tomato, guacamole and picante sauce.
Oh, here are 2 updated pics of me... (I'll upload them into my progress pics later)

Don't mind the stupid faces... I didn't realize pictures were being taken. :P
To be honest: I thought these pictures would make me sick, as pictures of myself that other people took usually do... but these didn't! I clearly see a DIFFERENCE. I'm not as wide, and my stomach doesn't stick out like it used to. I still have a long way to go, but 30 pounds has made a difference and I am loving it! I can just imagine myself with another 30 pound loss, wow! :D I'm so excited.
Oh and just for the record... the jeans I am wearing in that picture haven't fit in years. I had them in a drawer with 2 other pairs, still with tags and all, because I had faith that "ONE DAY" they would fit. A few months ago, they would barely pull up my hips and were inches away from buttoning - even when I laid down. Now they go up and button with EASE!

Weekly Weigh-In
I lost 2.6 pounds this week. :D
I'm pretty stoked, eee! I'm getting sooo close to my summer goal.
Oh, in other news, I bought some pants off eBay about 2 weeks ago. They are a size 15/16. I originally started out wearing a size 18, but I "graduated" into a size 16. Well, these were 15/16 so they were a little smaller than the average 16, and they were too small. I tried them on again last weekend, and they were still about an inch or 2 from buttoning. Well, they fit this week, and amazingly, I actually have some room in them, they are starting to get too BIG. :D
I wore some size 19 pants on Thursday night that when I used to put them on, they would start out kinda tight and slowly loosen up a bit. Here's me in them now straight out of the closet:
Gonna have a busy day, just figured I would update about my weigh in and junk!
Bye. <3
P.S.
I'm joining Chubby Mcgee's April challenge. Basically, you "Shed as many pounds as you can in the period of 30 days."
The winner gets "Weight Watchers: Simple & Classic Homecooking" cookbook. But, more than that, they get the honor of shedding pounds and doing it THEIR way. They get that much closer to being healthy! My goal: To lose 10 pounds this month. :)
