HCG Drops, Day 12 [R1P2D10]

Pounds Lost Today: +2.2

Bad, bad night last night. The day started out great, but it all went down hill around/after dinner.  I haven't had cookies in 4 months...but I had them last night. And cashews. And half a fried chicken strip.  Yeah, I don't really know what got into me.

I think I was so used to giving MYSELF restrictions, and giving MYSELF limits, that now that I am going by a book, following a protocol and counting calories,  and it's SO limited, it's tough. Before, I ate well... I lost a good 2lb a week usually. I could eat out once or twice a week and it was okay, I usually still lost my 2 pounds, and if not, I at least had a 1 pound loss for the week. Now, if I don't follow the 500 cal diet to a T, I risk gaining weight and then stalling for days. I don't like it. I'm thinking that maybe this diet just isn't the one for me, and that's ok... I am going to try to make it to the 23 or whatever days as best I can and then go back to what I was doing before.

However, today was day 10 and I am still down 6.7 pounds from where I started when I figured up the gains and losses. Not too bad. It averages out to almost a pound and a half a day.

  1. Hey some diets arent for everyone but you sure as hell are giving it all you got. I always thought your first diet seemed to be good for you. You were happy never stressing about losing or gaining you could have fun and not worry about gaining excessive amounts of weight in one day. I'm sorry but I think if you can not go out and enjoy yourself with your friends once in a while it's just not worth it. No one should have to restrict themselves that much. You did and are doing great though. Keep it up and then when you start your diet again START LIVING!! lol good luck!

  2. It is so hard, its so much a diet that you have to have your head really wrapped around before you start because it can be so difficult. Sometimes its the time in your life and whats going on that just makes it the wrong diet at the wrong time. maybe you will want to come back and do it again later? In the meantime its great to finish up (Im also finishing soon) and hey, whatever diet works for YOU is the best diet to be doing!

  3. I have a hard time with "diets." As soon as I get that word into my head, all I want to do is EAT. Anything and everything. If I'm just "watching what I eat," then I'm usually pretty good. Weird, I know. I couldn't do the diet you're on. Too restrictive. I would set myself up for failure, because there is NO WAY that I could limit myself to 500 cal a day. Whether you stay on this particular "diet" or not, I hope that you will still continue to blog. I like reading your posts.:)

  4. I always say the same thing to others about what to do/what not to do....that is ...find the thing that works for you and keep doing it. It is when we cheat a bit and give up it goes wrong. Now it sounds to me like you have tried something new to see if it is the thing that works for you...if it is..fine and if it isn't keep tinkering and change things about....and when you settle on the thing that works for you..stick to it. You're doing all the right things and you will surely get there in the end..and thats what matters and your current weight loss is brilliant so whatever you decide you've done well
